1. As a preliminary we assure you that any business done with this office is subject to strict solicitor – client confidentiality. That has always been the case and will continue to be so.

A. For people who view and interact with our website, we process data:
- to respond to your query when sent through our ‘contact us’ form and to advise on and process any legal business.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in provision of legal services to you and the administration and operation of our legal services as well as our legitimate interest in marketing and promoting our firm’s legal services.
We share this data with our client case management system provider. This is a completely confidential arrangement. They may only process this data for the purpose of providing us with their services, and no other purpose.
We will retain this data for periods set out in the Statute of Limitations Act 1957, and as recommended by the Law Society of Ireland (generally speaking, this is 6 years for litigation matters and 12 years for Conveyancing matters.)
At the end of the appropriate period we will dispose all documentation relating to the legal work with the exception of course of wills, title documents and supporting documentation.
In order to continue retaining this documentation we also retain details of your name address and contact details for as long as you wish us to do so. If you no longer consent for retaining these details please inform us. It with any necessary for you to remove all documentation held by us
B. For our potential clients, we process data:
- To obtain details required to set you up as a client if you wish to do business with us
The legal basis for the processing of this data is processing necessary for provision of legal services and advice to you and for the purpose of the legitimate interests of our firm in promoting our services.
We will retain this data for periods set out in the Statute of Limitations Act 1957, and as recommended by the Law Society of Ireland (generally speaking, this is 6 years for litigation matters and 12 years for Conveyancing matters.

C. For solicitors and barristers and other experts that we liaise with on client matters, we process data in order to liaise with them about our client matters for the sole and exclusive purpose of processing your legal business.
The legal basis for the processing of this data is processing necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our firm in representing our clients.
We share the information you provide with our practice management system in order to store your contact information with our client file. We may also send you emails through our email service provider.
We will retain this data for periods set out in the Statute of Limitations Act 1957, and as recommended by the Law Society of Ireland (generally speaking, this is 6 years for litigation matters and 12 years for Conveyancing matters.)

D. For job applicants to the firm, we process data:
- to recruit new employees
- to ascertain your suitability for a specific role
The legal basis for this processing is processing necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests of our firm in recruiting new staff. Please see the privacy notice in the job advertisement for further information about how we process applicant data.
We may share the information you provide in your application with our contracted recruiter in order to make a shortlist of candidates. This recruiter is not permitted to use this data other than on our behalf. We may also send you emails about your application through our email service provider.
We will retain this data until the interview and selection process is complete.
5. Information received from third parties and the source of that data
Hospitals, Local Authorities, Revenue Commission, and our legitimate interests in the processing of your case.
6. Your rights relating to personal data

7. Requirement to process personal data
You may browse our website without providing us with any personal data and this will not affect your ability to view our website.
If you provide us with your information it will be was only for the purposes described above, by responding to your queries sent through our contact us form, liaise with you or assess your suitability for a role within our firm. After the process companies completed your that I will be removed from our database unless you specifically request that it be retained.
8. Automated decision-making and profiling
We do not use any personal data for the purpose of automated decision-making or profiling.
